MESSAGE FROM PRESIDENT
On behalf of the Thai Association for the Study of Pain (TASP), it is our pleasure to invite you to attend the 33rd Annual Scientific Meeting of TASP during May 20-21, 2022. Also, a post-congress (Workshop) on May 22, 2022,
Since the International Association for the Study of Pain (IASP) dedicated 2022 as the “Global year for Translating Pain Knowledge to Practice,”. In this TASP annual meeting, it is our privilege to have world-renowned speakers, including Prof. Claudia Sommer, the President of the IASP as our the The 17th Somsri Pausawadi Honorary Lecture (Translating Pain Knowledge to Practice: Mechanisms of peripheral neuropathic pain), and Daniel Ciampi de Andrade, MD, PhD as the The 19th Sira Bunyaratavej Honorary Lecture (Long COVID Pain Syndrome).
The annual meeting will also be dedicated to cover a board spectrum of up-to-date, multi-disciplinary approaches to pain. Our schedule includes talks and case-based discussions on pharmacological and non-pharmacological treatments for low back pain. We will also touch upon updates in cancer pain and orofacial pain management, pain medicine in the COVID-19 era, and accreditation of pain services.
Because of the COVID-19 pandemic situation, our annual conference will be held as a Hybrid meeting. Although we cannot meet in person, this virtual meeting might be an opportunity to contribute pain knowledge from different angles. Participants will have a chance to attend lectures at their convenience within one month.
We sincerely hope this conference will deliberate and discuss global updated knowledge about pain medicine, which leads to recommendations or movement to a better, safer, and worthwhile health care delivery.
We look forward to welcoming you to the 33rd Annual Scientific Meeting in May 2022. Please mark your calendar and join us.
Prof. Wichai Ittichaikulthol, M.D.
